New Portland Police officers graduate and return to Portland (5/21/2010)
The Maine Criminal Justice Academy graduated the eighteenth Basic Law Enforcement Training Program class of 44 new Maine police officers. Three of these were Portland Police Officers. The department is eager to add these three new law enforcement professionals to the ranks of the department. At the graduation ceremony, Officer Heather Brown was awarded the Randall Parsons Iron Man award, the first woman to receive such accolades.

surveillance photo below. This male is the suspect in a weekend burglary at the
Guitar Grave.

Theft suspect 9/26/2008
Detectives are trying to id the male shown in the surveillance photo below. The
male stole a cream from the health and beauty aisle at Hannaford on 9/26. When
he was approached about the theft by store security he fled the area in a blue
sedan driven by an unknown female.

MV burglary suspect 8/25/2008
Detectives are trying to id the female in
this picture. She is shown on surveillance photo buying liquor at RSVP on
8/24/08. The female used a stolen credit card that was taken just 30 minutes
prior from a vehicle parked at St. Joseph's Church where the victim was
attending mass.
Description: W, F, 25-30, 5'6, 130-140, reddish brown hair
