New Neighborhood Prosecutor on board!

5/26/2010 - New Neighborhood Prosecutor on board!
During this past winter the department was pleased to receive grant funding for a Neighborhood Prosecutor. After a lengthy search, which included input from the District Attorney’s office and the community, we selected someone who has the background and abilities to tackle this exciting new job! The police department is very pleased to have recently hired Trish McAllister as our new neighborhood prosecutor. Trish brings with her a background well suited for the position; she was a code enforcement officer, has a law degree with several years experience focusing on land use and municipal law, and was a marine inspector with the United States Coast Guard. All of her previous positions fit well into this multi-faceted job. Her work will center on planning appropriate legal responses to areas of concern in the community. Whether she’s addressing problem properties or working with our partners at the District Attorney’s office and other city departments, we know that this strategic response to community concerns will assist the City in improving the quality of life for its residents. Trish is already meeting with senior lead officers, community service coordinators and community leaders who are all anxious to start working together.
