Officer Jeff Hawkins has worked as a Portland police officer for ten years. He has been working in the directed patrol unit and has extensive experience in the Old Port as a patrol officer and working foot beats. Before becoming a police officer, Jeff served in the United States Marine Corps for eight years. Some of the facts about Jeff and his career at the Portland Police Department are:

He has an Associate’s degree in Law Enforcement from Southern Maine Community College.

He worked on the department’s Special Reaction Team for 7 years and has always served on the color guard.

He is an extensive world traveler and has hiked Machu Picchu in Peru, lived overseas and continues to spend his free time traveling to new places.

Before working at the department as an officer, he worked as a process server - a job where he learned the city very thoroughly.

Jeff is a certified motorcycle officer and enjoys working on the bike.
